Ukraine - I Despair!

Russia has blown up the Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine. The destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam on June 6 in the southern region of Kherson unleashed 18 cubic kilometres (4.3 cubic miles) of water that submerged villages and farmland.

Every day that the war drags on, in addition to killing hundreds of innocent civilians, there is untold environmental damage. Every artillery shell that is fired, every missile that is launched, very bomb that is dropped, is another nail in the environmental coffin for the whole world.

I don't see an end in sight for this war. I don't see Ukraine losing, but I don't see it winning either. I don't see Putin giving up.

Putin has even announced that Russia has successfully transported its initial batch of tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus.

We humans deserve what's in store for us.
